In conjunction with the exhibit, Freddy Clarke launches his new website www.freddyclarke.com, which will feature behind the scenes interviews between Freddy Clarke and Donald Johanson, the world famous paleoanthropologist, who in 1974 discovered the famed 3.2-million-year-old hominid named Lucy. Freddy Clarke's band Wobbly World returns to Yoshi's San Francisco on Monday, November 30, 2009, for one highly anticipated 8PM show. Prior to the Wobbly World performance, there will be a meet-and-greet with Donald Johanson and Freddy Clarke at the Jazz Heritage Center Screening and Education Lab. Freddy Clarke met a woman named "Lucy" at the Narada Michael Walden Foundation "Let The Sunshine In" benefit concert. Freddy was so enamored by their connection that he went home and wrote a song about her. Soon thereafter, Freddy Clarke and Donald Johanson reconnected to talk about Johanson's new book, "Lucy's Legacy: The Quest for Human Origins," and Clarke's new song "Lucy." The two have been friends for a decade. Lucy's Legacy: The Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia is part of the Discovery Times Square Exposition now running in New York City for a limited engagement through October 25th. Freddy Clarke's Lucy and The Beatles' Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds were selected and have been playing at the exhibit since its opening on June 24th. Team Lucy invites you to check out Freddy's new website www.freddyclarke.com to learn more about this fascinating story that draws connections between music, love and life.
"Lucy, I can't believe that you and me we used to be
australopithecine
Yea, you and me we used to be
Upright with all our might and everything that's in between
australopithecine
Yea, you and me we're history." ~Freddy Clarke
